Mecca
Mecca is the
capital of the province of Makkah Saudi Arabia
and lies about seventy kilometres from Jeddah. Muslims consider it to be a Holy City
and by performing a pilgrimage, or Hajj, to Mecca is the fifth pillar of Islam.
Pilgrimage takes place between 8th and 12th day of Dhu al-Hajjah (), the last
month of the Muslim calendar. It is the responsibility of every Muslim to

water of the well of Zamzam, consciously on the plain of Arafat stand and
finally to throw stones at pillars that represent the devil. Umrah can be
performed during the Hajj which resembles any time of the year. Should get a
special visa to enter Mecca and tourists should
note that only Muslims are allowed to enter the Holy City.
